BLOG N°6: Future Studies

Imagen
Hi!! , in this last blog, I will talk about my studies after university or postgraduate courses that I would like to do in the future. If given the opportunity, I would like to continue my studies at the Institute of Public Affairs, as it offers courses that contribute to the learning of our career. Although I am currently studying Public Administration, among the postgraduate courses that the Institute (INAP) has, the most that interest me is the Master's in Political Science since this area has always caught my attention, so it would motivate me more to choose this path.  Throughout my career, I discovered that I like to study political theory, so it would be comfortable for me to develop in this magister (or so I hope), also, it has a short duration of two years, so it is very convenient. I believe that studying a postgraduate degree helps a lot to generate more knowledge and have the necessary tools of better face the gloomy panorama of the labor field :') Well, since

BLOG N°5: MY FUTURE JOB

Imagen
Hi! In this blog, I am supposed to talk about my ideal work future, but the truth is that I am not very clear about it yet. The future for me is too uncertain, especially when it comes to these issues. Thinking about that makes me a little nervous jajajaj BUT, although I don't have a specific place in mind, I would like to work in the public sector and feel that I'm a contribution. The institutions that most attract my attention are those related to: "women and gender equality" and why not? environment. I think work (like everything in life) should be something that you like. It will be difficult if you don't feel comfortable in it because sooner or later it will end up affecting your performance and your mood. That is why, consider that a job that feels comfortable with, that suits my abilities and personality, I would like very much (although I think I'm asking too much) that way I will be more productive and be satisfied with myself. I don't like such

Blog N°4: "Agust D and some emotional songs"

Imagen
I feel that through music many feelings, emotions, and messages can be expressed, with which one can feel identified. It is therefore on this occasion I will talk about songs that are very special and I consider that they have a very beautiful meaning for me. The songs I chose belong to the rapper, composer, and producer "Agust D", the homonym of "Suga", a member of the South Korean group BTS. Suga has two names artistic. When he releases solo music; he uses the name "Agust D". In her own words, this represents her alter ego, a "raw" artistic side that he has not been able to show as Suga. And the truth is that I do feel that his songs reflect that since he is a person who has gone through a lot in his life and it is in his two "mixtapes" where he reveals his deepest, darkest, personal, and human side. Not only counting all the sacrifices he has had to make to become an artist but also touching pathologies related to mental health s

BLOG N°3: "My favorite hobbies"

Imagen
The truth is that I don't know what to talk about so… I will talk about my favorite hobbies that to this day I still like what to about Anime was the first hobby I had. It is common to have seen in childhood, but when I was eleven years old I rediscovered this world again. I remember watching a lot of anime at that time in my life. I was always a homebody, so having this hobby was very distracting when I was at home. It's great because it has quite a few genres for all possible tastes, from sadder animes to action animes, comedy, horror, etc, etc. The animes that I have liked the most were:  Code Geass,  Haikyuu!!,  Shingeki no Kyojin,  Death Note,  Boku no Hero Academia I recommend them!!! I haven't seen that many movies, but I think it's a general opinion that those from Studio Ghibli are the best. I can also add to the list "Kimi no na wa" ("Your name") and Akira, which although difficult to process is too good, a classic that revolution

BLOG N°2: The best holidays I have had

Imagen
The most memorable vacation I've ever had was in the summer of 2010 when I was ten years old. Travel with my mother and my older sister and we went to Chauchil town belonging to the commune of Hualaihue, in the Region of the Lakes. The journey lasted most of the night. It took us thirteen hours by bus to get to Puerto Montt and then we had to take another bus, which took two hours, to get to Chauchil. In a part of the journey to Chauchil, the bus had to embark since it is easier to get there by sea than by land. It was the first time I had traveled that far and the first time I got on a boat. If the trip itself was already special, those vacations were the best because it was the first time that I met my mother's family. It was the first time I met my grandfather, my grandmother, all my cousins, my uncles, my aunts :D   it was very emotional   Although it was only two weeks, those days were the best. I remember that we went to the beach, we bathed in the sea, in the river

BLOG N°1: A country I would like to visit...

Imagen
The truth is that airplanes scare me very much, so I don’t know if someday to able travel to this country, but even so...I would like to visit South Korea. My main hobby at the moment is listening and being a fan of a South Korean group very famous, so, I would be interested to know what their country is like, know their culture, landscapes, traditional places, enjoy their food, etc. That would be my main motivation to get to know this country, and well...I would also like take the opportunity to buy original merchandising of my favorite group that is no available here in Chile, but if in Korea. From Korea I only know random data. On the one hand, I know the Korean music industry and the worldwide phenomenon of kpop that has done that many people interesting for this country. Also, I have also tried Korean food a couple of, it is delicious! It is an interesting mix of spicy and sweet. One of its most traditional dishes is kimchi. I love it! Plus other data, such as: §   In Ko

The Scientific Power of Meditation

Imagen
What do you think of the video? Do you meditate? Why? Do you feel it works? Why? First of all, I found the video very interesting, fun and educational, I definitely loved it a lot. It was also very informative and thanks to the drawings they were much easier to understand and the truth is that I did not know that meditation had so many benefits for our health, it was a surprise. Sometimes one can be skeptical about certain subjects, but the video showed that even on a biological level our body has a beneficial process. Personally, I don't currently meditate, but in 2018 at university, chose a yoga course and, although it is not the same I suppose they are a bit similar. I would like to try to do it one day, especially now that know the benefits to health. But although I am at home, time is not enough. Also, maybe I don't meditate, but I try to do a little exercise, I need to move and feel good about myself. How are you feeling these days? Why? Well, as all have

Gender Stereotypes

Imagen
Gender stereotypes are behavioral norms that are attributed to each gender and have been perpetrated over time. As the article pointed out, these are defined at birth. It's fun, but when baby's gender is announced, for example at a party or baby shower, the color options are always blue or pink. It's amazing how we inadvertently assumed that blue is for boys and pink for girls, when in reality they are just colors. Throughout our lives, these stereotypes add up and continue when we are little. The difference in toys, clothing, colors, games, etc., continues until we come to normalize them as people. After all, it is what our parents learned from our own grandparents, and so on, that demonstrates the retrograde thinking that existed in past generations. In the present, this situation is latent among us and we are increasingly aware as a society of this reality. For the last generations from the 90s to the 2000s, these stereotypes are already obsolete, the new generatio

Why did I choose this career

Imagen
When I was a little girl and went to school, my first dream was to become a teacher, I liked the job of teaching others and feeling like they were learning. I think it is something very beautiful and admirable. However, when I was growing up, my thinking changed and I had other new interests. I started to like psychology when I was a teenager since I wanted to have the necessary tools to help others with their problems.  But to get into college, they asked for a biology score, and the truth is, I was never very good at science.  I always liked the humanist area more. So I took the history exam to study a career in that area. I didn't have a career in mind, so decided, in my last year of school, at the last moment of the postulation, literally.  Of all the humanistic careers, the public administration called my attention, because I felt that through this, I could also help others in some way. When I entered university, my expectations dropped. I got demotivated for various reasons.
